About Denise Grollmus

Denise Grollmus is a PhD candidate in English at the University of Washington, where she is also an assistant director in the Expository Writing Program. In 2012, she was a Fulbright scholar to Poland and from 2013-2014, she was the Philip Bernstein Memorial Scholar in Jewish Studies. Denise holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Penn State and her work as a journalist and essayist has appeared in numerous publications, including Tablet Magazine, The Guardian, NYMag, Salon, and various Village Voice papers.
