The Modern Hebrew curriculum at UW is based on the textbook Ivrit Min Hahathalah (“Hebrew from Scratch”), which was developed by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Intermediate Modern Hebrew (MODHEB 201, 202, 203) covers the material from Level II and is roughly equivalent to Level Bet. The course covers readings of selected texts in modern Hebrew with continuing emphasis on grammar, syntax, composition, and conversation. This is the first course in a sequence of three.
