Explore Judaism’s sacred stories, holidays, and rituals. Discover Judaism’s impact on society, culture, and politics. Through the lens of Jewish history, grapple with fundamental questions about the role of individuals and community in an increasingly multicultural, religious, and interconnected world.

In this course, we will discuss:

  • What is the origin of Western religions?
  • What is Judaism–a religion, a culture, a people?
  • What is the Jewish perspective–what does a minority perspective have to offer?
  • What is the relationship of the Bible to Jews, and the relationship of Jews to Christianity?
