Pisqa’ 1331
1
“There H HhH Hyou shall slaughter the Paschal lamb in the evening,
at the setting of the sun, in the season of your liberation from Egypt” (Dt.16:6).
R. Eliezer says:
In the evening—[this is when] you slay it;
at the setting of the sun—[this is when] you eat it;
at the season of your liberation from Egypt—[this is] when you burn it.
R. Akiva says:
In the evening—[this is] when you slay it;
at the setting of the sun—[this is when] you eat it.
Until when [may you eat it]?
At the season of your liberation from Egypt—
until the next morning (i.e., Ex.12:51; Nu.33:3).
Another word:
At the season—[the month of Aviv,] when you slaughter it.
At the setting of the sun— [of the 14th of Aviv], when you roast it.
In the evening [of the 15th of Aviv], when you eat it .2
