“For, HASHEM your God chose him from among all your tribes

to stand and serve” (Dt.18:5).

This indicates that

proper [levitical] service

is performed while standing.

Therefore, if he served while seated,

his service is disqualified.²

“Him and his sons for all time” (Dt.18:5)—

whether in the Land or beyond the Land.³
