An introduction to those world religions that originated in the Middle East. We begin with ancient Israel (the Hebrew Bible / Old Testament) and then delve into its relationship with Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The ancient origins and contemporary relevance of these monotheistic traditions is examined in historical and interdisciplinary perspective.
