About Richard Benton

Dr. Richard Benton is an Orthodox Christian living in Seattle who has taught Jewish studies since 2002. He has taught courses in Jewish cultural history, the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament), and Biblical Hebrew at institutions in the US, Ukraine, and Lebanon. His Jewish education began as an undergraduate at Brandeis University, where he studied linguistics, Modern Hebrew, and Russian. Comparisons between Judaism and Christianity, and the means by which individuals of each community interpret the Bible, comprise his research interests. He enjoys traveling and learning languages.
